Eugenie de Santa-Coloma

Jeanne-Marie-Eugénie de Santa-Coloma (born February 8, 1827 in Bordeaux , † 1895 ) was a French singer and composer.

The daughter of the Consul of Chile and Consul General of Argentina in France had lessons in harmony with Charles-Louis Colin , the father of the composer Charles Colin , in the early 1840s . On the recommendation of Jacques Fromental Halévy , she made her debut at the Paris Opera in 1847 .

She composed an opera ( L'Image ), numerous songs and an instrumental trio that appeared in print in 1872.
