Eugene Boris Mirman (born 1974 in the Soviet Union ) is an American television producer , director , writer , actor and voice actor .

Life

Mirman was born in Russia to Jewish parents. His family emigrated to the United States when he was four and a half years old. There he attended William Diamond Middle School and High School in Lexington and then Hampshire College in western Massachusetts. He acted as a stand-up comedian for several years and is currently playing Yvgeny Mirminsky in Delocated . Mirman is also the voice of Gene Belcher in Bob's Burgers .
