Eugenio Alafaci
Eugenio Alafaci (born August 9, 1990 in Carnago ) is an Italian racing cyclist .
Alafaci finished fifth in the road race at the UCI Road World Championships for Juniors in 2008 and finished ninth in the individual time trial at the European Championships. He was also the Italian junior champion in the single pursuit on the track. A year later he finished seventh in the individual time trial at the European Championships and was tenth in the road race.
In the adult category, Alafaci drove for the Leopard-Trek Continental Team in the 2012 and 2013 seasons and won the Kempen Omloop in 2013 . In 2014 he switched to the UCI ProTeam Trek Factory Racing and finished the Giro d'Italia four times in a row as a driver for this team . In 2017 he was fined 200 Swiss francs for throwing a drinking bottle against a competitor , but was allowed to continue the race.
