Euippe (wife of Pieros)
Euippe ( Greek Εὐίππη ) is a female figure in Greek mythology .
Euippe was the wife of the Macedonian king Pieros of Pella and bore him nine daughters, the Pierids . These challenged the muses to a song contest and were transformed into jarring birds ( magpies ) for this cheekiness .
