Euphorbia bwambensis is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).

description

The succulent Euphorbia bwambensis forms trees with loosely branching and a height of up to 6.5 meters. The three to five-edged shoots are 1 to 2.5 centimeters thick. On the edges, which are usually thinly winged, there are flat teeth at a distance of 1 to 4 centimeters from one another. The obtuse triangular thorn shields are up to 4 millimeters long and 3 millimeters wide. Thorns up to 3 millimeters in length and long-lived leaves up to 9 centimeters in length and 5 centimeters in width are formed. The obovate leaves have a stem up to 7 millimeters long and are located at the tips of the branches.

The inflorescence consists of individual cymes , which are forked twice and stand on 2 to 7 millimeter long stems. The cyathia reach 6.5 millimeters in diameter. The elliptical nectar glands are colored yellow and almost collide. The ovary has a distinct three-lobed flower cover. The sharp-edged lobed fruit is about 9 millimeters long and 14 millimeters wide. It stands on a strong stalk up to 8 millimeters long, turns reddish in color and contains the spherical seeds. These are about 4 millimeters in size and have a smooth surface.
