description

The succulent Euphorbia crassipes grows as a very small shrub. The wrongly conical shoot grows from the thickened root. This is up to 15 centimeters long and wide and is for the most part under the surface of the earth. A large number of twigs are formed, which are arranged with a diameter of 20 centimeters around the central vegetation point covered with warts. They are up to 6 inches long and 1.5 inches thick. The branches are divided into sections by more or less protruding warts.

Individual cyathia are formed at the tips of the branches. The perennial inflorescence stalks are 3 to 10 millimeters long and have small bracts . The cyathia reach a diameter of 4.5 millimeters. The individually standing nectar glands have three to five short appendages on the edge. The ovary is sessile and nothing is known about the fruit and seeds.
