Euregio base wheel gymnastics

The Euregio support point for wheel gymnastics is a supranational working group based in Aachen for the promotion of wheel gymnastics . All gymnastics clubs and groups in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine belong to it.

The Euregio base conducts regular courses in gymnastics, usually once a year (since 2002 at Easter) a multi-day training camp for athletes from all over the world. He works closely with the International Wheel Gymnastics Association (IRV) and clubs from all over Germany , Belgium and the Netherlands . In 2005 the Euregio base organized the world championship together with the Association of German-speaking Gymnastics Clubs in Belgium and the General Gymnastics Club Aachen . The Iranian Shahin Tivay, who lives in Aachen, has been the base manager since 1996 .

Members are the General Gymnastics Club Aachen , the Stolberger Gymnastics Community , the Gymnastics Federation Breinig , the Turngau Aachen , the Eupener Gymnastics Club and the University Sports Center Aachen .

The ATA was and is in charge of the development, which introduced wheel gymnastics in the region from 1984 to 1988 in cooperation with the Turngau - first in Aachen and then in neighboring Stolberg . In 1992, the base was officially founded as a gym wheel base in Aachen . In 1995, the Eupen gymnastics club and its gymnastics department (founded in 1989) joined, and in 1997, gymnastics was also introduced in university sports at RWTH Aachen University and the FH Aachen . In 2003 - in the course of the successful application for the world championship - the base was renamed the Euregio base wheel gymnastics .
