The Euro-Tower is a 75 m high observation tower in the Europa-Park Rust . According to the principle of the gyro tower , up to 50 people can be seated on the ground in a fully glazed cabin, which then raises the mast of the tower and rotates around the tower axis. After a few turns at the top of the mast, the cabin descends again. The travel time is 217 seconds and the capacity is around 600 people per hour. The plant, which opened in 1983, was built by the Intamin company .

The tower was first shown in 1980 in the garden exhibition Grün 80 in Basel and was called Tour St. Jaques . In 1981 he moved to the Federal Horticultural Show in Kassel, the following year to the Floriade in Amsterdam , before he found his permanent location in Europa-Park in 1983.

In addition to the Europa-Park area, the view includes parts of the Rhine plain , the Black Forest in the east, the Kaiserstuhl in the south and the Vosges in the west. The tower offers the rare opportunity to overlook the Rhine Valley from its center, whereas most of the vantage points are on the edges of the valley.
