from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The EuroFloorball Cup 2008 (also just called the European Cup 2008 by the Swiss organizer ) in floorball took place from October 8th to 12th in Winterthur in the Eulachhallen . The tournament was organized by HC Rychenberg .

It was the first European Cup after the annual changeover and therefore the second European Cup in the same year. AIK Innebandy was the winner for the men and IKSU Innebandy for the women , both from Sweden.

qualification

A total of 5 of the 8 teams automatically qualified for the European Cup, on the one hand the four champions of the four strongest nations of the EuroFloorball Cup 2007/08 for women and men and last year's European Cup winner.

The three other teams had to qualify them in three qualification groups. Group A are countries from Western Europe (held in Frederikshavn ) and Group B are countries from Eastern Europe (held in Bratislava ). In Group C, the runners-up from the four strongest nations will fight for a starting place (held in Helsinki ).
