European Fund for Strategic Investments

The European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) is a joint initiative of the EIB Group and the European Commission for investments in the European Union .

The EFSI is one of three pillars of the European Commission's Investment Plan for Europe , known as the Juncker Plan.

On September 14, 2016, Jean-Claude Juncker announced in his State of the Union address that he would increase the volume of the EFSI to up to 630 billion euros .
