history
The history of the European Theological Seminary goes back to 1949. At that time, Bible courses were offered in Schorndorf for two years in preparation for the ministry. At the suggestion of the World Mission Management of the Church of God , a Bible school was opened in 1958 in Rudersberg . This moved to Heilbronn in 1962 , became an international training center in 1964, moved again to Switzerland and took on the name Internationales Bibelseminar (IBS). The training center returned to Rudersberg in 1973 as the European Bible Seminar (EBS). Branch schools such as the Extension Schools of Christian Ministry (ESCM) have been maintained since 1982 . In 1999 the school began offering Masters courses with the Church of God Theological Seminary, Cleveland . In 2002 the school was renamed the European Theological Seminary and moved to Kniebis ( Freudenstadt ). The languages of instruction are German and English.
