The Europagymnasium Auhof is a general education secondary school in Linz-Urfahr with three branches (a natural science branch , an English-speaking branch and a French branch ). In the 2009/2010 school year, 1252 students in over 55 classes were taught by over 150 teachers at the school.
School types
The Europagymnasium Auhof is a "3-branch company" with two language-oriented high schools (an English branch and a French branch) and a Realgymnasium (focus on mathematics and natural sciences). In all branches there are English lessons from the 1st grade.
- The Kepler Realgymnasium is a science-oriented Realgymnasium with a scientific internship from the second and a focus subject (biology, chemistry, descriptive geometry, geography, computer science, physics) from the seventh grade, in which there is also school work. Another foreign language has to be chosen in the 5th grade.
- The eLLA (eurolingual learning Linz Auhof) is a linguistically oriented grammar school with French and English as a foreign language from the 1st grade and another foreign language from the 5th grade.
- The LISA ( Linz International School Auhof ) to give a common language oriented-informed in the English language school with the possibility of A-levels and the IB Diploma. The foreign language offer includes French from the third grade and another foreign language from the fifth grade.
Educational offer
There are three branches to choose from, each with individually selectable subjects. As an alternative to denominational religious instruction there is the subject ethics in the upper level . Free subjects, exercises and non-binding exercises are offered. There is also a library and other special rooms such as an audio and photo laboratory, textile design rooms, IT halls, an event room and an open-air theater. Almost all classes are equipped with a beamer and an overhead projector.
