The European Association of Public Banks (EAPB), based in Brussels, is an association that aims to represent the interests of public and state-owned banks on a European level.

The association was founded on May 4, 2000 and only represents members in the EU , Switzerland and EEA countries.

In addition to banking associations such as the Federal Association of Public Banks in Germany and the Association of Swiss Cantonal Banks, members are also individual credit institutions such as Landesbank Baden-Württemberg and NRW.Bank , the development bank of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. In line with the strong position of state banks in Germany, German institutions make up a significant part of the membership. The EAPB represents around 100 European financial institutions through individual and association memberships.
