European Civil Liberties Network

The European Civil Liberties Network ( ECLN ) is a communication platform for European civil rights movements . The network was founded on October 19, 2005 on the initiative of the British organization Statewatch . It is intended to bundle the activities of European civil society in matters of civil rights , protection of democracy and freedom of information .

From Germany, ECLN is supported by the Committee for Fundamental Rights and Democracy , Civil Rights & Police / CILIP and the Humanist Union .

The American Civil Liberties Union has observer status .
