The European Coaster Club , ( ECC for short ) is a global non-commercial roller coaster fan club headquartered in the United Kingdom . Founded by Justin Garvanovic in 1996, the club currently has over 1500 members, mainly from Europe, but also from the United States and Canada, and is the largest European roller coaster fan club. In addition to individuals, many companies and manufacturers in the leisure sector are also represented in the ECC. The aim of the club is the exchange of experience and knowledge about roller coasters, other amusement facilities, leisure and theme parks , their documentation and the organization of joint visits and trips.

The club magazine "First Drop" has been published since 1988, even before the club was officially founded - named after the first drop on roller coasters. There are now 88 issues of the magazine, which appears four times a year at irregular intervals. Amusement park designer Jean-Marc Toussaint has been responsible for the graphic design since issue 25.

The club holds various meetings in theme parks and trips together every year. In the past, travel destinations included tours through various European countries, the USA , Japan and Korea .

The latest news and discussions from and to club members are continuously passed on via a mailing list.

In 2004, a ride called the “Roller Coaster Challenge” was organized together with the then European department of Six Flags . All 30 European roller coasters were to be ridden in the group's eight parks within 48 hours. The bus trip went from the Netherlands via Germany, Belgium and France to Madrid in Spain. Various international television stations reported on the company.
