The Eurostar EV97 is a two-seat ultralight aircraft that is manufactured by Evektor-Aerotechnik from Kunovice in the Czech Republic and was launched on the German market in 1997. The aircraft is imported to Germany from the Flugsportzentrum in Bautzen .

development

The aircraft is a modern low wing construction made of aluminum . It has a glide ratio of 10 and is constantly being improved. The last major changes were made in 2004 with the approval of a variant called Model 2000 / R for a take-off weight of 472.5 kg. The Eurostar is powered by a Rotax engine with 80 or 100 hp. In terms of flight performance and space, it is comparable to small two-seat aircraft.

Eurostar SLX at the AERO 2018

At the ILA 2008, a revised variant was presented with the EuroStar SL (Sleek Line = elegant line). This only consists of a tubular steel space frame in the lower part with a structure made of GRP with better aerodynamics, a new vertical stabilizer and a more spacious cabin. The machine can be converted into an aircraft of the American (then called SportStar SL) or European LSA class according to Bfu95 (then called Eurostar SLW with 304 kg empty weight and 580 kg MTOW) using different wings. A power tow version with a Rotax 912ULS and hydraulic controllable pitch propeller is also available.
