Eva Behmer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eva-Maria Behmer (born March 5, 1909 in the German Reich (presumably Berlin), † March 22, 1944 in Berlin) was a German stage and film actress .

Live and act

The daughter of the actor Ernst Behmer came to the stage through her father and has been to be seen at venues in the German provinces (including Glogau, Neustrelitz and Bernburg) as well as at those in the German capital (e.g. at her father's side) since the early 1930s at the Kurfürstendammtheater). In later years Eva-Maria Behmer worked more and more often on obscure small and micro stages such as the guest performance directorate club dance or the Reichsautobahnbühne. In the early days of World War II, she was also engaged in touring theater to entertain the Wehrmacht soldiers. The film - debut in 1930 at father Ernst's side in the crime thriller The Shot in the Tonfilmatelier - hardly offered Eva Behmer a worthwhile task; their parts seldom got beyond a few seconds. Eva Behmer was killed in an Allied bombing raid on Berlin in March 1944.
