Eva Bogner

Eva Bogner (* around 1958) is an Austrian national table tennis player . She was one of the best players in Austria in the 1970s and was Austrian champion in women's singles in 1973.

Career

Eva Bogner first played for the club Schwarz-Weiß-Westbahn and moved to UKJ Tyrolia in 1971. In 1972 she became Austrian champion in women's doubles with Gabriele Smekal , a year later she won the title in women's singles. In 1973 she was nominated for the World Cup in Sarajevo. In mixed doubles she surprisingly won with Rudolf Weinmann in a great match against the Yugoslav couple Dragutin Šurbek / Mirjana Resler and reached the round of 16. In the period from 1970 to 1973 Eva Bogner won a total of 26 Austrian national championship titles: 1 × lower level singles, 3 × pupils singles, 3 × pupils doubles, 3 × pupils mixed doubles, 3 × pupils team, 2 × girls singles, 2 × girls doubles , 1 × youth mixed doubles, 3 × girls team, 1 × women singles (as 16-year-olds), 1 × women doubles, 2 × women state league team.
