Eva Kristina Viktoria Melander (born December 25, 1974 in Gävle , Sweden ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Eva Melander grew up in Hagaström near her hometown Gävle until 1994. From 1998 to 2002 she studied acting at the Teaterhögskolan in Malmö. She then found work at the theater, including the Riksteater, the Stockholm City Theater and the Royal Dramatic Theater . She made her acting debut in 2010 as a mother in the award-winning drama Sebbe, directed by Babak Najafi . Since then she has appeared in productions such as Der Hypnotiseur and Die Brücke - Transit in den Tod . For her portrayal of Susanne in Beata Gårdeler's drama Flocken , she was awarded the Guldbagge for Best Supporting Actress in 2016. She received another Guldbagge for Best Actress in 2019 for her portrayal of Tina in the film drama Border, directed by Ali Abbasi .
