Eva and Klaus Grohe Prize
The Eva and Klaus Grohe Prize of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences was a German science award .
In 2001, the former head of the Bayer AG central laboratory in Leverkusen , Klaus Grohe , founded the Klaus Grohe Foundation at the German Chemical Society (GDCh) together with his wife Eva . The foundation's assets are 200,000 euros. The aim of the foundation is to interest highly qualified scientists in drug research. In 2004, for the first time, three young researchers were awarded the Klaus Grohe Prize for Medicinal Chemistry for outstanding doctoral theses . In addition, Grohe and his wife donated the Eva and Klaus Grohe Prize.
The Eva and Klaus Grohe Prize was endowed with 20,000 euros and was awarded every two years between 2003 and 2015 by the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences for outstanding scientific achievements by German scientists in the field of infectiology , both in clinical research and in Basic research, awarded.
