The Adishi Gospel Book ( Georgian ადიშის ოთხთავი or ადიშის სახარება) is a Georgian manuscript . It is dated to 897, making it the oldest Georgian gospel book to be dated . The manuscript was written in the Schatberdi Monastery . It contains the text of the four Gospels ; however, the editorial staff is unique and differs from the later Georgian editorial staff of the Gospels.

The manuscript was found in the village of Adishi ( Svaneti ) and is now kept in the Svaneti Historical-Ethnographic Museum at Mestia .

The gospel book is written on parchment . The format of the sheets is 26 × 18.8 cm. The text is written in the Georgian script Assomtavruli in two columns per page. The first five pages are decorated with illuminations .
