The Evangelical Working Group for Elderly Work (EAfA) of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), founded in 1992, is the umbrella organization for age issues in the EKD. 18 member churches of the EKD, the Association of Evangelical Free Churches (VEF) and other agencies and associations are represented in it. The office is located in the EKD Church Office in Hanover-Herrenhausen .

tasks

The task of the working group is to give impulses and suggestions for church work with older people. It develops quality standards and concepts for the accompaniment, care and pastoral care of older people. The working group promotes cooperation between the individual associations, organizations and members and promotes and coordinates the exchange of information between them. The EAfA participates in the discourse on issues relating to older people and maintains contacts with politics, society and the public. The bodies there are a board of directors and the general assembly. The EAfA publishes a circular, working aids as well as other publications and materials.
