The Protestant Chapel Amöneburg is a church building in Amöneburg in the Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf .

history

In 1856 the Protestant Christians of the predominantly Catholic city of Amöneburg were assigned to the Protestant parish of Kirchhain . From 1891 the Protestant services were celebrated in the party room of the district court . The construction of the chapel began in 1897 and was financed by donations, funds from the consistory in Kassel and the Gustav-Adolf-Verein . The chapel was inaugurated on December 5th, 1897 (2nd Advent). For the inauguration, Empress Auguste Viktoria donated an altar Bible with a handwritten dedication.
