history
The first Protestant Christians were Slovaks , who mostly were in the service of rich Hungarian families and were valued as hard-working workers. Since the congregation was made up of poorer classes, it took a relatively long time to have the necessary financial means to start building a church. The church was built in 1886 according to the plans of Jozef Cocek. The simple, single-nave basilica has a bell tower in the Baroque style , while the main building features elements from the transition phase from Baroque to Classicism .
