The Evangelical Church (Polish Kościół ewangelicki w Szczyrku-Salmopolu ) is a church of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland in Szczyrk , Poland . The church is located in the Salmopol district just below the Przełęcz Salmopolska mountain pass .
history
The first Lutherans came to Szczyrk from Wisła in 1803 . In 1897 an evangelical school was inaugurated in Salmopol, which was still independent at the time. Protestant services were held in their chapel. The new church was built from 1991 to 1995 opposite the former school, which now serves as a rectory.
