The Evangelical Lutheran parish church Bernstein is located in the upper village of the market town of Bernstein in the Oberwart district in Burgenland . The church belongs to the Superintendentur AB Burgenland and is a listed building .

history

The church was built in 1787 and expanded in 1868. There was a fire in 1879, as a result of which the church was restored in 1880 and received a new tower. In 1993 there was also a restoration.

architecture

The single-nave hall structure has a flat end. The west tower has a tall onion helmet.

The long nave without yoke division has a flat ceiling. The surrounding galleries stand on cast iron supports.

Furnishing

The pulpit altar shows the altarpiece Resurrection of Christ painted by J. Rohrer (1868). The font shows the year 1869.

The organ was built in 1868 by Carl Böttcher from Magdeburg.
