Resurrection Church (Eisenstadt)
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection is located in Sankt-Rochus-Straße No. 1 in the municipality of Eisenstadt in Burgenland . The church belongs to the Superintendentur AB Burgenland and is a listed building .
history
The area of the city of Eisenstadt belonged to the Evangelical Parish of Neufeld , where a church was built as early as 1904. After the number of evangelicals in the state capital had risen, a church was built here in 1935 according to the plans of engineer Ecker and consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent . The ensemble consists of the church, the rectory with the pastor's apartment and a tower built in between.
The official building of the Evangelical Superintendentur AB Burgenland was built in 1955/56 according to the plans of engineer Gustav Freyler a little further away in Bergstrasse.
