history

The neo-Gothic brick building with original furnishings was built in 1862 according to the plans of the architect Hans Petschnig. From 1911 to 1912 the chancel was bricked up and the pulpit was moved. The high, wide hall building under a saddle roof with a low choir is surmounted to the west and east by a stair-bell gable. The pointed arch portal with vestibule shows a relief Lamb of God in the tympanum . The interior is a simple stone-view room with an open wooden roof structure over blind arcades and a relief console. The organ gallery above round supports is made of wood. The organ from 1862 is from Carl Hesse. The uniform neo-Gothic furnishings include the pews, sacrificial sticks, the pulpit with parapet reliefs of the four evangelists and a marble baptismal font with a brass top.

In 2008 the church received two new bells from the Grassmayr bell foundry. The smaller bell of the old peal has been in the city museum since then.
