The Protestant parish church of Waiern in the Feldkirchen community is surrounded by a Diakoniezentrum. Wolfsberg and Klagenfurt were daughter communities of Waiern until 1864, the year the community in Klagenfurt was founded.

description

The house of God is a large historicist building built in 1852/53 with a strongly recessed round apse . The west tower, completed in 1855 and presented to the nave, has round-arched sound openings and is crowned by a pyramid roof. The vestibule on the tower ground floor is open on three sides with round arches. You enter the church through the western arched portal. To the right of the entrance are the graves of the first pastor Adam Wassertheurer and of Pastor Ernst Schwarz, the founder of the Waiern Diakonie.

Inside, the nave, the choir and the organ gallery are equipped with square vaults . In the nave, belt arches use wall templates to divide the vault into three yokes . The three-axis, two-bay west gallery with slightly protruding parapet stands on Tuscan columns. A round-arched triumphal arch with fighters and a Luther rose in the apex connects the nave with the one-yoke choir. Oratorios are housed in the side cones of the choir . The columnar altar shows the Good Shepherd on the altar sheet and the tablets of the Law on the top .
