Evangelical service in the country
The Evangelical Service in the Country (EDL) of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) is the umbrella organization of the independent specialist services - Church services in the country of the member churches of the EKD. The EDL office is located in the Evangelical Rural Youth Academy in Altenkirchen .
tasks
The EDL promotes the regional church jobs and specialist services in the area of the EKD and networks them with one another. He represents his member services to the state and the public. He works with other church ministries and works, e.g. B. the Evangelical Development Service (EED), the Catholic rural people movement (KLB), the German Farmers' Association (DBV), the German Rural Women Association (DLV), the working group of environmental officers in the member churches of the EKD and other organizations. He conducts specialist conferences and is at trade fairs, e.g. B. at the Green Week , and present at events.
