The Evangelical Church District Konstanz or the Evangelical Dean's Office Konstanz is one of 24 church districts or deaneries of the Evangelical Church in Baden . It belongs to the parish of South Baden and comprises 18 parishes with 23 parishes.
The leadership of the deanery is incumbent on the district synod, the district church council and the dean in a collegial manner . The current dean has been Hiltrud Schneider-Cimbal since 2010, who is also the pastor in Konstanz-Wollmatingen .
geography
The church district of Konstanz is almost identical to the district of Konstanz . It stretches from Engen in the north to Büsingen in the west, along the Untersee to Konstanz in the south and is divided into three regions:
- the Hegau region with the center of Singen,
- the Untersee region with the Radolfzell center,
- and constancy.
The vast majority of the population in the region is Catholic. The numerically small diaspora communities are area communities, with z. T. large extent.

Constancy
As a university, civil servant and administrative city, Konstanz differs from the surrounding region. In addition to the active work of the Working Group of Christian Churches in Germany , a dialogue with Jews and Muslims as well as meetings and exchanges in working groups and on festive occasions take place here. Students (approx. 4000) and university employees are formative groups.
Radolfzell and Untersee
Radolfzell and the other communities on the Untersee are shaped by the spa and tourism. People spend their free time at the lake. You can be contacted for church events. Especially in the parishes on the lake, offers for tourists are particularly useful in the summer months. One goal of the church district is to coordinate and expand this work.
In the summer months this also changes the communities. It is a special challenge because the needs of the guests are different from those of the local population and they are only present in the communities for a limited period of time.
The Diakonisches Werk of the church district of Konstanz has its headquarters in Radolfzell in the "House of Diakonie" . There are also locations in Konstanz, Singen and Engen.
Hegau
In Hegau there are parishes that extend over a large area. Most of the industry in the region is located around Singen. This results in a completely different congregation situation than in the rest of the church district.
One consequence of this is that the Bonhoeffer congregation in Singen is assigned the task of church service in the world of work (KDA) .
