history
In 1820 the village church was built as a hall church with a western roof tower on the site of the previous church. The organ, built in 1737, was taken over from the old building.
To the nave
Inside there are three-sided two-storey galleries , the vaulted ceiling is framed with stucco and the pulpit altar is made in the late Baroque tradition .
The organ , built in 1737, is the oldest evidence of the art of organ building by Justinus Ehrenfried Gerhard from Lindig . It is the oldest organ in the area of the former district of Stadtroda and has been preserved to this day through the commitment of the "Association for the Preservation and Rescue of Church Art and Culture in the Area of Stadtroda". In 1990 it was made to sound again.
