Evangelical Church Radio Lower Saxony

The Evangelical church radio Lower Saxony (ekn) is a gGmbH in ownership of the five member churches of the Confederation of Protestant Churches in Lower Saxony . The ekn was founded in 1987. It has its seat in the Knochenhauerstraße 42 in the Old Town of Hanover accommodated, there is also the editor of ekn.

Since 1987, articles on Christian-church topics, e.g. Hit from Heaven , ffn - die Kirche - Hilfe interactive or the contemporary history comedy series "Who turned the clock?" Have been made for private broadcasters in Lower Saxony such as Radio FFN , Radio 21 , Hit- Radio Antenne and since 1998 produced by the broadcaster for public service broadcasters . Church radio has so far received more than 25 Lower Saxony radio prizes for its contributions, including, for example, the Axel Springer Prize for young journalists or the Juliane Bartel Media Prize.

Citystudio

Three radio studios are combined in the Citystudio, which have been operated since 1984 by the Confederation of Protestant Churches under the auspices of the Evangelical Broadcasting Unit of the North German Churches (ERR) and the Evangelical Church Radio Lower Saxony (ekn). In the studios, contributions are made for private institutions, from current news to lavishly produced radio plays. The studios produce contributions of various lengths for the various ARD stations.
