The Evans Glacier is a glacier with a moderate gradient on the Oscar II coast of the Antarctic Graham Land . It flows in an easterly direction to the Hektoria Glacier , which it reaches between Shiver Point and Whiteside Hill .
The Australian polar explorer Hubert Wilkins discovered it on his Antarctic flight on December 20, 1928. He mistakenly thought it was a bay and named it Evans Inlet . Measurements by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1955 revealed the true nature of the property. Name giver is Edward Steptoe Evans (1879-1945), manager of Wilkins' Detroit Arctic Expedition (1925-1926).
