The language Evant (ISO 639-3: bzz; also evand, avand, avande, ovande, ovand, ovando, balegete, belegete) is one of 17 tivoid languages and is used by a total of 10,000 people in the Nigerian state of Cross River and by 1,000 people in the Southwest Cameroon region .

The speakers are switching more and more to Cameroonian pidgine English .
