Evelin Ilves

Evelin Ilves (born April 20, 1968 in Tallinn ; born Int ) is the second wife of the Estonian politician Toomas Hendrik Ilves . She has been First Lady of the Republic of Estonia since he was elected President in 2006 . In April 2015, the couple announced the divorce.

Career

Evelin Int grew up in Tallinn and graduated from Saku High School in 1986 . She studied medicine at the University of Tartu and graduated with a bachelor's degree . She then worked in the field of advertising / public relations and as a board member of the daily newspaper Eesti Päevaleht .

In 2004 she married her long-time partner Toomas Hendrik Ilves. She has a daughter with him, who was born in 2003.

As first lady, she accompanied her husband on trips abroad. It supports a number of charitable institutions for the well-being of children, for the health and for the advancement of women.

In April 2015, the couple announced their divorce.
