Evelyn Dearman
Evelyn Dearman ( September 8, 1908 , † December 2, 1993 ) was a British tennis player in the 1930s.
successes
In 1935 she won the women's doubles with Nancy Lyle at the Australian tennis championships (now the Australian Open ). They defeated Louie Bickerton and Nell Hall Hopman in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. In 1937 she was a member of the English Wightman Cup team. That year she won the WTA Canada in singles against Mary Hardwick and in doubles together with Joan Ingram against Mary Hardwick and Margot Lumb . She also reached the semifinals at Wimbledon together with Ingram.
