Nancy Lyle

Nancy Lyle (born February 26, 1910 , † 1986 ) was a British tennis player in the 1930s.

successes

In 1935 she won the women's doubles at the Australian tennis championships (now the Australian Open ) with the British Evelyn Dearman . They defeated Louie Bickerton and Nell Hall Hopman 6-3, 6-4. In the individual finals, Lyle lost to Dorothy Round Little that same year with 1: 6, 6: 1 and 6: 3.

In 1946, Lyle was team captain of the British Wimbledon women's team.
