Evelyn Mary Jamison (* 1877 ; † 1972 ) was a British Medievalist who primarily devoted herself to researching the history of the Normans in Sicily.

After studying at Lady Margaret Hall , she was a research fellow at Somerville College , Oxford from 1903 to 1906 , and in 1907 she became a librarian at Lady Margaret Hall, where she became vice principal in 1920. From 1928 to 1935 she taught as a history lecturer at the university.

For the first time, she published a number of important documents for her history of the Norman provincial administration under Roger II and Wilhelm I. The publication of previously unknown archive material is also a hallmark of her other essays on the history of the administration of the Norman Kingdom of Sicily. This is of particular concern as a number of the documents she published were lost during World War II. In addition, she examined the Anglo-Sicilian relations in the 12th century. The main work is the edition of the Catalogus baronum , a list of the fiefdoms and their performance obligations in continental parts of the Kingdom of Sicily, which was published in the year of her death. She could no longer complete the commentary volume; it was completed by Errico Cuozzo on the basis of her notes . The monograph on the ammiratus Eugenius of Palermo also grew out of her studies of Norman administration ; however, her attempt to identify with Hugo Falcandus met with general rejection.
