Activity and orientation
The Evenord-Bank has its business field in the regional market of the metropolitan region of Nuremberg . Evenord-Bank looks after private and commercial customers from all sectors. It is also the house bank of the realwirtschaftlichen Evenord eG, a wholesale cooperative for commercial customers in the food sector. The bank has its headquarters in Nuremberg. It employs around 40 people in total. Evenord-Bank eG-KG is a voluntary member of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken cooperative financial network.
The bank has been dealing with business ethics issues since 2009 and introduced a value management system certified by the Center for Business Ethics (ZfW) in 2011. Together with the business ethicist Harald Bolsinger, she further developed the existing concept in 2015 and introduced the so-called "e-principle". It serves as a basis for action in order to assume social responsibility for the products. With the help of the “e-principle”, Evenord-Bank checks and controls the effects of banking transactions on people, the environment and the regional economy. Particularly meaningful projects in the areas of people, the environment and the future are promoted through interest rate reductions. The universal bank has committed itself to the standards of the German Sustainability Code and rejects quantitative targets for the sale of financial service products and monetary incentives for the sale of products. history
The name Evenord is derived from the original name of the purchasing and processing cooperative of the northern Bavarian butchers . For a long time the customers of Evenord eG processed their financial transactions directly in the cooperative. As the money business grew, Evenord eG founded its own bank in 1961 - Evenord-Bank eG-KG. This has been a member of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken cooperative financial network from the start.
Awards & commitment
The bank was awarded the oekom PrimeStatus for the first time in 2015 by one of the world's leading sustainability rating agencies , oekom research AG . Once a year the Evenord-Bank is committed to the German Sustainability Code . It reports on twenty non-financial code criteria in the form of a declaration of compliance. Since 2016, the Evenord-Bank has also had the official title of “GOLD Partner of the Fairness Foundation”. This means that the universal bank has once again achieved a high level of fairness with regard to guidelines, specifications, canon of values and their degree of implementation.
In addition, products from Evenord-Bank were awarded. The independent evaluation portal biallo.de has awarded the e-Privatkonto Individual with 4.7 out of 5 possible points. More than 1,400 regional institutes were examined as part of the study. In addition, the independent consumer portal Verivox has awarded the e-personal loan with a very good grade of 1.2 and awarded the Evenord Bank the Verivox seal of quality.
In the course of the German Excellence Prize under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy , the EFQM model of the Evenord Bank was tested and awarded the "European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Recognized for Excellence 5 Star" and then in the final honored with the “German Excellence Prize” in silver.
The FNG - Forum for Sustainable Investments has included Evenord-Bank in the market report for sustainable investments since 2017. Focus Money , together with the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF), recognized Evenord-Bank as the most popular cooperative bank in the study "Germany's most popular banks". Questionnaires about customer satisfaction and product range as well as contributions from bank rating portals and social media were included in the evaluation.
The international research and consulting company Great Place to Work® has already awarded Evenord-Bank the "Bavaria's Best Employer" award twice. After the positive test result in 2018, the universal bank will also be one of the best employers in Bavaria in 2020. The results are based on a detailed, anonymous employee survey and the assessment of the workplace culture by independent auditors. In addition, Focus-Business names Evenord-Bank as one of Germany's top employers for medium-sized companies in 2020.
