The bank has been dealing with business ethics issues since 2009 and introduced a value management system certified by the Center for Business Ethics (ZfW) in 2011. Together with the business ethicist Harald Bolsinger, she further developed the existing concept in 2015 and introduced the so-called "e-principle". It serves as a basis for action in order to assume social responsibility for the products. history

The name Evenord is derived from the original name of the purchasing and processing cooperative of the northern Bavarian butchers . For a long time the customers of Evenord eG processed their financial transactions directly in the cooperative. As the money business grew, Evenord eG founded its own bank in 1961 - Evenord-Bank eG-KG. This has been a member of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken cooperative financial network from the start.

Awards & commitment

The bank was awarded the oekom PrimeStatus for the first time in 2015 by one of the world's leading sustainability rating agencies , oekom research AG . Once a year the Evenord-Bank is committed to the German Sustainability Code . It reports on twenty non-financial code criteria in the form of a declaration of compliance. Since 2016, the Evenord-Bank has also had the official title of “GOLD Partner of the Fairness Foundation”. This means that the universal bank has once again achieved a high level of fairness with regard to guidelines, specifications, canon of values ​​and their degree of implementation.

In the course of the German Excellence Prize under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy , the EFQM model of the Evenord Bank was tested and awarded the "European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Recognized for Excellence 5 Star" and then in the final honored with the “German Excellence Prize” in silver.

The international research and consulting company Great Place to Work® has already awarded Evenord-Bank the "Bavaria's Best Employer" award twice.
