Event Rookie ( spelling EVENT Rookie ) is a German-language specialist magazine for event technology . The name was derived from the American " Rookie of the year ", which distinguishes successful athletes in the first season, ie a beginner.

Leikro Media GmbH, specializing in the publication of magazines and specialist books in the field of event technology, and the magazine were founded in 2011. The two managing directors Raoul Leitner and Simon Kropp are namesake of the company and are still active in the company. Raoul Leitner takes care of the graphic design of the magazine. Simon Kropp is editor-in-chief and is therefore responsible for the content of Event Rookie. He is a specialist in event technology.
