Evil Whiplash is a Colombian thrash metal band from Popayán that was formed in 2004.
history
The band was founded in 2004 as Metallica - Tribute group founded. After a few appearances and changes in the line-up, the band finally developed their own songs. With drummer Julián "Metal" Ruiz and bassist Jhon Jairo Talaga the members had reduced to just two, until guitarist and singer Rubén "Evil Dozer" joined the band after a while. In December 2009 the band recorded their debut album Rituals of Punishment at In WAR Studios in Bogotá . The album was released in 2010 via Iron Shield Records .

The band plays classic Thrash Metal on their debut album, with the playing of the instruments being technically solid.
