Ewald shield

Ewald Schild (born May 30, 1899 in Vienna , † October 3, 1962 in Linz ) was an Austrian biologist . He worked as a lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute of the City of Vienna and headed the microbiological station in Linz. His main area of ​​work was practical microscopy , in particular the development of cuvette microscopy .

In 1951 he was one of the winners of the Karl Renner Prize .
