Eternal medal table

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Similar to the perpetual table , the perpetual medal table is a listing of all medals , sorted according to participants, associations or participating countries, that have been awarded in the history of an event.

Usually gold medals count as first, silver medals as second and bronze medals as third criteria for the ranking list. The term is used particularly often in connection with the Olympic Games , where a medal table is created for each individual game . The sum of the individual medal tables results in the eternal medal table .
