Ewo is a city in the west of the Republic of the Congo . The capital of the Ewo district and the Cuvette-Ouest department is located about 400 kilometers north of the state capital Brazzaville on the banks of the Kouyou River , only 40 kilometers from the border with Gabon . At the 2012 census , Ewo had about 9,000 inhabitants.

The Ewo Airport is located about two kilometers southwest of the village.
