Evtim Timtschew Dabew ( Bulgarian Евтим Тимчев Дабев ; born October 25, 1864 in Gabrovo , † March 2, 1946 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian journalist and politician.

Life

In 1886 Dabew edited the newspaper Rossiza , the first Bulgarian newspaper with a socialist orientation. He also wrote the first translation of a work by Karl Marx into Bulgarian .

Ewtim Dabew belonged 1892 to the founders of the Social Democratic League , which in 1894 with the Bulgarian Social Democratic Party of Bulgarian Social Democratic Labor Party united. Dabew became a member of the party's central committee and was one of the leaders of a party wing. In the period after 1903, however, he withdrew from active politics.
