Excalibur in Valleyfair! ( Shakopee , Minnesota , USA ) is a steel roller coaster of the model Special Coaster Systems by the manufacturer Arrow Dynamics , which was opened in 1989.

It is 31 m high and has a first descent of 32 m, on which it reaches a top speed of 88 km / h. Excalibur is one of only a few roller coasters in the world with steel rails and a wooden structure. Two other roller coasters in this category are Gemini and Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point .

A few years after the track was built, reducing brakes were installed at the apex of the first hill and the rails at the bottom and the first half of the curve were swapped to reduce roughness. The photo point and photo shop have also been removed. The photo shop has been replaced by a food stand.

Trains

Excalibur has two trains with five cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car.
