The Winter AG AG (until early 2013 Winter AG ) based in Unterschleissheim is a formerly listed German manufacturer of smart cards and security products.
history
The company was founded in 1924 under the name Winter Wertdruck GmbH as a printing company and has been producing chip cards since 1993. In 2000 took place IPO of the converted in the meantime into a corporation Winter AG. Your shares were then listed on the regulated market of Deutsche Börse .
From 2004 to 2009, Winter was majority owned by the Swiss company Trüb AG . In October 2010 the sale of the company to the Swiss Exceet Group was announced after a squeeze-out had previously taken place.
The ID Management & Systems (“IDMS”) division of exceet Group AG (and thus also exceet Card AG) was sold to Robert Wolny (COO IDMS) on September 30, 2016 as part of a management buy-out (MBO) and Ulrich Reutner (former CEO of exceet). The exceet Card Group is held by Visioncard Holding GmbH, which is 100% owned. The transition of business activities is effective immediately. The parties have agreed not to disclose the sales price.
