Exchange ActiveSync

Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) is an XML-based protocol that communicates over HTTP or HTTPS . It was developed to synchronize e-mails , contacts, calendar entries, tasks and notes from a message server with a mobile device . Device policies and device properties can also be edited.

Current version

Exchange ActiveSync is currently in version 16.1, which is part of Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 .

Version 16.1 brought minor updates to the previous version, 16.0, which was released as part of Exchange Server 2016 , including support for the use of office365, more stability in the calendar, attachments in the calendar / appointments are synchronized and attachments are synchronized better.
