Exercise Tiger Memorial
The Exercise Tiger Memorial is located in Slapton, southwest Dartmouth , Devon .
It commemorates the 944 dead who died on April 28, 1944 in an attack by German speedboats during the American exercise Tiger .
The M4A1 Sherman tank was recovered from the bay in 1974 on the initiative of Ken Small and erected in 1984.
